People, Poetry, and Nature
Avenue Campus
Age suitable for: 7+
You've surely come across descriptions of nature when reading books, poems and looking at art. Nature has inspired artists of all kinds through the ages. Much of what they knew about our world they infused into art, be it poetry or folk song.
Join us in exploring the connection between nature and poetry, from modern eco-poetry to indigenous folk songs. Rediscover nature and get inspired by what surrounds us. Finally, have a go at writing your own poems of different formats, from visual poetry to acrostics.
This activity is brought to you by the Nature and Biodiversity Community Hub
