Join James Macdonell, 3D specialist, to dive into the Library's Cabinet of Curiosities, created from objects found on the shelves of the Hartley Library.
Objects ranging from a plastic toy duck to concert tickets and much more besides have been found on the shelves of the University of Southampton's Hartley Library.
Our 3D Specialist, James Macdonell, has developed a cabinet of curiosities with these objects in the style of an 18th century Grand Tour collection as part of the exhibition 'Looking Back, Looking Forward: Hartley Library Transformation' in our Level 4 Gallery.
Come and hear James talk about the objects, the challenges and processes involved in scanning them and the making of the cabinet. You will also have the opportunity to explore the wider exhibition as well and explore over a hundred years of this iconic building.
PLEASE NOTE: This event does not require additional booking. Please just show up on the day.
